Based on the diversified situations of placing wagers by players, Craps has truly been considered one of the most complicated games in casino world for a long time. In traditional land based casinos, the stickman used to slide 5 dices to "shooter". Then the shooter will select 2 of them to play with. In the game, the player throws the dices and ensures the dices will hit the opposite wall of the table. Only that could be considered as a legitimate roll. At online casinos, of course, there is no process of selecting dices because every roll is handled by your pressing of the button.
In a Craps round, the first roll is called the "come out roll". If the dices total 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10, a point is established, then an "ON" puck will be placed by the dealer on this point. After this, the dices will be rolled continuously till the same point is rolled again or a 7. While on the other hand, if a total of 2, 3, 7, 11, or 12 turns out on the "come out roll", the round will end immediately.
Craps Rules - The Bets
Pass Line Bets
The pass line bet need to be placed on the pass line before tossing the come out roll. If the first roll of the dice adds up to 7 or 11, you win and the round ends. If you roll a 2, 3, or 12 which is called as craps, you lose the bet. Any rest of number (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10) is the point as we said before. You win the pass line bet if the point is rolled again before a 7. But if a7 is rolled before the point, you lose. A pass line bet is an even money bet (1 to 1), which means that, for example, if you win you will receive $20 for your $10 wager.
Don't Pass Line Bets
Don't pass line bet is the reverse of the pass line bet. In don't pass line bet, you bet the shooter will roll a7 before the point. If you roll craps for 2 or 3 on the come out roll, or on any other roll for 7, you win the round. If the come out roll is 12, it is a standoff, the bet will be returned to the players in a push. If there is either 7 or 11 on the come out roll or the point come out before 7 on any other roll, you lose the bet. A winning bet pays even money same like a pass line bet (1 to 1).
Come Bets
The main difference between a come bet and a pass line bet is that you must put your chips in the box corresponding to a certain point. You win if the next roll is either a 7 or 11. You lose if the next roll is craps 2, 3, or 12. If the shooter rolls a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, one of those numbers will become the "come point". Since now on all the come bet will be slide from the initial "Come" bar to the box after the come point. If the come point is rolled again, then you win, but lose the bet on 7. The payout is 1 to 1.
Don't Come Bets
A don't come bet is just the opposite of a come bet, except that if the shooter rolls a 2 or 3 at first roll, a don't come bet wins. If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, a don't come bet loses, and a 12 is a tie.
If the roll is a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, the number will be the "don't come point." The don't come bet will slide from the "Don't Come Bar" to box corresponding to the don't come point. Once the don't come point is established, don't come bets win even money (1 to 1) if a 7 is rolled, but lose on the don't come point.
Odds Bets
An odds bet seems more like a backup bet when you have a pass, don't pass, come, or don't come bet. You could win if the shooter roll the point or the come point before a7. Your odds bet could be three times your initial bet at maximum.
Payoff for pass odds and come odds-2 to 1 on a roll for 4's or 10's, 3 to 2 on a roll for 5's or 9's, 6 to 5 for 6's or 8's.
Payoff for Don't pass odds and Don't come odds-1 to 2 on a roll for 4's or 10's, 2 to 3 on a roll for 5's or 9's,5 to 6 for 6's or 8's.
Field Bets
To place your chips in the Field bar is bet that 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12 will be rolled before 5, 6, 7 or 8. If a 2 or 12 is rolled, you win double of your original bet (2 to 1). If get a 3, 4, 9, 10, or 11, you will win even money (1 to 1). You will lose the bet if the shooter rolls a 5, 6, 7, or 8.
Big 6 and Big 8 Bets
You could place your chips in the boxes that marked Big 6 and Big 8. If the either of these 2 numbers you wagered on is rolled before 7, you get paid even money (1 to 1).
Place Bets
Once a "point" came out after a roll, you are allowed to make place bets on 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10. You win if your number is rolled out before a 7.
Payoff - 7 to 6 on numbers 6's and 8's, 7 to 5 on numbers 5's and 9's, 9 to 5 on numbers 4's and 10's.
Any Craps Bets
In any craps bet, you win if any number in 2, 3, or 12 is rolled in the next roll of the dices. Any craps bet paid you 7 to 1 for wining.
Proposition Bets:
A Proposition Bet bets that 2, 3, 11 and 12 will come up on the first roll.
The payoff-30 to 1 on numbers 2's and 12's, 15 to 1 on numbers 3's and 11's.
Hardway Bets
Rolling the number in "the hard way" is said to be rolling a number by doubles. Because, for instance, rolling a 5 and a 5 is much harder than rolling a 5 and a 3 and a 2. For Hardway bet you bet that a 4, 6, 8, or 10 will be rolled as doubles (which means 2+2, 3+3, 4+4, or 5+5) before 7. The payoff for a winning Hardway bet-7 to 1 on numbers 4's and 10's, 9 to 1 on numbers 6's and 8's.
