Online Casino Blackjack Rules & Strategies
How the Game is played Player and the Dealer each draw two cards. Every card has a specific point value. Player can ask for additional cards without exceeding a point sum of 21, or the player will lose. The object of the Blackjack game is to beat the dealer by: 1) receiving an ace (accounts as 11 points) and a 10-point-value card as the first two cards, 2) getting closer to 21 than the dealer's hand without exceeding 21, or 3) the dealer going over 21 points and you not. If you and the Dealer end up with the same total value hand, no one wins and the bet will roll back in a "push".

Terminology: Any hand with an ace card is said to be a "soft hand". (Ace+5 = "Soft-16)
Options (for the Player) After you received first two cards there are different options for what to do next. (The Dealer has another set of options.)
Hit Drawing an additional card if you think the dealer would probably have a better hand than yours. You can continue to draw cards as many as you like only if their total doesn't exceed 21. Scrap the cards gently towards you, tap the table, or just point at your cards—all these are signals to hit.
Stand Not to take another card (because of a content hand). Slip the cards under the chips slightly or hold your hand, palm down and over your cards mean you want to stand.
Split Pairs After being dealt first two cards with same point value, players may choose to split them into two separate hands, which is a very wise option for the player. A new bet which equals to your initial wager is required in this situation. You may hit or stand each new hand as you want. If you receive another card with the same value as the first two, you can to split this pair as you like. Slitting Pairs usually up to a total of four hands.
Double Down After being dealt first 2 cards, players can make an additional wager (no higher than the original one) if they feel that a next card will beat the dealer’s hand, then they can receive only one more card.
Insurance In Blackjack game one of the Dealer's first two cards is always dealt face up, therefore you can forecast dealer's hand though it. If this card is an Ace, the Dealer would highly likely own a blackjack. The game allows you to protect yourself by buying insurance through making an additional side bet (which equals to half of the initial bet) under this circumstance. If the Dealer does have a blackjack, you are paid 2:1 on your insurance bet while your original bet is lost automatically. If the Dealer doesn't have a blackjack, you just lost the insurance bet and could go on playing with your initial bet. This insurance bet has a 6% house-advantage over the player, so it is a poor bet option.
Surrender Giving up during the game and losing only half of the initial bet. This rule could only be applicable when Dealer has a 9, 10, or ace card showing. Early surrender means to give up before the Dealer looks at his second card. Late surrender means to give up after the Dealer looks at the second card. The statistics shows that when the Dealer has a 10 point card, or an ace showing, the odds of losing is greater than 75%, which makes it a good option for players.
Options (for the Dealer) Actually the Dealer does not have any options during the game since he has to follow certain rules.
Dealer hits on 16, stands on 17 The Dealer must hit on any hand with a total value of 16 or less, while stand on any hand totaling more than 16. Some casinos make a request that the Dealer has to hit on a soft 17 (Ace+6), which definitely provide no benefit to the player.
